EMARS™ Environmental Compliance Software

Key Features

EMARS comprehensive, robust functionality enables you to assess, manage, analyze, and report material and product data to ensure compliance with EU RoHS, China RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and ELV directives as well as support industry standards such as JIG and GADSL.

1. Compliance Management

EMARS provides a one-stop solution for all critical compliance regulations including EU RoHS, China RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and ELV. If you have your own internal compliance specifications, they can be easily integrated into EMARS.

  • Comprehensive compliance history and audit trails: With a complete history of compliance at supplier part, company part, and product levels, you have all information at our fingertips to ensure data integrity and demonstrate due diligence.
  • Compliance Checker™ engine: At the heart of EMARS is compliance checker, which provides unequalled capabilities in managing thousands of multi-sourced components and evaluating complex product structures across multiple regulatory and internal compliance specifications.
  • Compliance management: EMARS enables users to manage regulatory exemptions and timeframes, perform "what if" scenario analysis for new products, and evaluate worst case/best case compliance and material content scenarios across multi-sourced components at all levels of the BOM.
  • Powerful searching capabilities: EMARS offers powerful searching capabilities allowing users to retrieve critical compliance information for multi-sourced components using highly customizable search criteria.

2. Material Declaration

EMARS reduces data collection cycle times and cost and facilitates efficient information gathering.

  • Support of data exchange standards: EMARS supports a variety of industry formats for collecting material declaration data including IPC 1752 (all classes), AIAG Compliance Connect™, IMDS 4.1, RosettaNet 2A10, 2A13 and 2A15 PIPs, and custom formats.
  • Fully automated or on-demand data import: EMARS offers highly customizable material content importing capabilities to fit your specific needs. Material content collection can be performed on demand or configured to be fully automated through IMDS, supplier portal, or other system.
  • Robust data and compliance validation: Prior to accepting data into the system, EMARS validates the data and allows compliance managers to preview compliance and compare it with the current information in the system.
  • Multiple levels of compliance disclosure: With EMARS you have the ability to consolidate all levels of compliance data in a single location: from "yes/no" declarations on EU RoHS substances, lab reports, and certificates of compliance to 100% material content declaration.

3. Reporting

EMARS flexible, automated, easy-to-use reporting capability enables users to easily communicate compliance data to customers, suppliers, and agencies.

  • Support of industry reporting formats: With EMARS you can generate reports using best industry standards including IPC 1752, RosettaNet, and IMDS as well as create custom reports to fit your business needs.
  • Comprehensive compliance reporting at any level: Using EMARS customers can get compliance and material content reports across multi-sourced components at any level: substance, material, part, product, and product portfolio.
  • Worst-case and best-case scenario BOM evaluation: The worst-case analysis functionality provides complete assessment across multi-sourced components at all levels of the BOM to identify risks and potential liabilities. The best-case analysis enables users to exclude non-compliant components when evaluating a BOM to determine which components to use to build an EU RoHS compliant product.

4. Integration

  • Seamless integration with existing systems: EMARS easily integrates with your existing systems including Item Master, Approved Vendor List (AVL), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Design-To-Manufacturing (DTM) and other supply chain management systems.
