Oracle and Synapsis Form Strategic Partnership for RoHS Compliance

Synapsis Technology, Inc., a provider of Environmental Compliance and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, today announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with Oracle to offer its patent-pending Environmental Material Aggregation and Reporting System (EMARS) to Oracle's high-tech electronics customers as a complement to Oracle's E-Business Suite and Oracle PIM Data Hub.

EMARS is an off-the-shelf solution that offers a complete set of functionality to analyze and track compliance at the substance, material, part and product level and efficiently manage the data collection and reporting process. Integrated with Oracle's E-Business Suite and Oracle PIM Data Hub, EMARS will serve as a back-end compliance analysis tool enabling complete compliance management within the Oracle environment.

EMARS enables users of Oracle PIM Data Hub to easily access and manage product compliance data within their existing working environment. They'll simply click to view the compliance status of a part, for example, or initiate the product compliance evaluation process. The EMARS Compliance Checker™ calculates and determines compliance in the background, keeping the user within the familiar Oracle environment. Merging compliance data with key supply chain data enables organizations to make strategic decisions in purchasing and other areas. Further, customers can use the powerful supply chain integration capabilities of the Oracle PIM Data Hub to collect and disseminate compliance data throughout the entire supply chain.
