Synapsis Technology, Inc., a provider of Environmental Compliance and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, today announced that Shridhar Rajarao, CPIM, has been appointed as its new director of Product Development. Rajarao will be responsible for managing the design and development of Synapsis' patent-pending Environmental Material Aggregation and Reporting System (EMARS) product and PLM products. Shridhar will report directly to Andrew M. Wertkin, Synapsis' chief software architect.
'We believe that Shridhar will be a valuable asset to the Synapsis team and that he has the necessary qualifications to lead our product development team," said Lonnie Gillihan, president of Synapsis. "In addition to managing our software development process, we will be relying on Shridhar's expertise to manage the offshore development team in India, as well as work with the product management team, sales, customer delivery and custom support organizations to streamline processes to achieve product growth, superior product quality and continue to build high levels of customer satisfaction."
Mr. Rajarao has 23 years of experience working in both the United States and India, spending 15 years in the design, development, implementation and support of ERP, supply chain and other related projects and the other eight years in manufacturing and industrial engineering.
Before joining Synapsis, Mr. Rajarao was a senior development manager at Infor (formerly Agilisys/SCT Corporation) in Malvern, Pa. focusing on its full-function ERP product and as a senior advisory software engineer managing the globalization of its ERP solution. He also held positions at Syntel Inc. in Cary, N.C., and Ramco Systems, Bharat Electronics, National Productivity Council and Taylor Instruments in India.
Mr. Rajarao earned his undergraduate degrees in production technology from the Madras Institute of Technology and in science from Bangalore University, both in India. He received a master's degree in industrial engineering from the National Productivity Council in India. He has received many certifications, including being Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by the American Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS).
