SSA Global to Resell Synapsis' EMARS Environmental Compliance Solution

Synapsis Technology, Inc., a provider of Environmental Compliance and Product Lifecycle Intelligence™ solutions, today announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with SSA Global™ (NASDAQ: SSAG), a leading global provider of enterprise business software and services. Through this agreement, SSA Global will resell Synapsis' patent-pending Environmental Material Aggregation and Reporting System (EMARS).

Manufacturers and their suppliers, especially in the electronics and automotive industries, are continually facing new industry regulations in which they must comply in order to do business in certain countries. Environmental regulations such as the ELV (European End of Life Vehicle), RoHS (Restrictions on the use of certain Hazardous Substances) and WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directives are just a few examples. The risk of non-compliance can range from potential fines to being completely shut out of key markets and the lack of visibility to compliance information can lead to increased costs and excessive product redesign costs.

EMARS is Synapsis' off-the-shelf solution that offers a complete set of functionality to analyze and track compliance at the substance, material, part and product level and efficiently manage the data collection and reporting process. EMARS maximizes the visibility of compliance information to all stages of the product lifecycle and therefore minimizes the risk and cost associated with non-compliance.
