NEEDS 2006 Exhibition and Conference
May 16, 2006
Synapsis Technology, Inc., a provider of Environmental Compliance and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, today announced that German Avila, the company's product manager for its environmental solutions, has been selected to conduct a workshop at the NEEDS 2006 Exhibition and Conference located at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, UK on May 16th, from 1:00-2:50 p.m.
This event will cover a broad range of International Electrical and Electronic Product Compliance Issues involving Directives such as RoHS, WEEE, EuP, REACH, among others.
Mr. Avila's presentation, entitled "Ensuring RoHS Compliance through Material Declarations: Implementing the IPC 1752", will focus on the use of the IPC 1752 form to support compliance with a hands-on workshop as well as include updates on the RoHS Directive.
"Complying with the RoHS Directive is one of the most difficult transitions the electrical and electronics industry has ever faced, says Mr. Avila. It is affecting every aspect of the supply chain and the relationships you have built with your suppliers and customers. Ensuring and being able to demonstrate compliance to your customers and regulatory authorities involves gathering, organizing, and storing a tremendous amount of data. The newly developed IPC 1752 standard will simplify and lower the cost of collecting compliance data through the supply chain by reducing the number of submission formats."
