Prem Shankar, Director, India Operations

With more than 15 years of experience in the software development and project management areas, Prem Shankar set up and manages Synapsis' operations in India. Mr. Shankar has a strong background in PLM and CAD/CAM with a keen understanding of manufacturing companies and their IT needs.

Before opening the India office, Mr. Shankar was employed by Altair Engineering, Tata Consultancy Services. He worked on-site at GE Aircraft Engines and won the award for outstanding performance.

Mr. Shankar also was a machine tool design engineer for Telco where he honed his expertise in providing solutions to the manufacturing industry.

He earned his Master's of Technology in Mechanical Engineering and his Bachelor's of Technology also in Mechanical Engineering from IIT, Kanpur and has had his work published in industry trade publications.
